This summer, add a pop of color to your table with a bouquet of the quintessential seasonal flower: the sunflower! Sunflowers are a recognized symbol of happiness, brightening the landscape throughout the summer and fall. Copper Creek Farm invites you to come out for some family fun while gathering sunflowers for yourself or loved ones at the multi-day Sunflower Festival in Calhoun, Georgia.
This year’s Sunflower Festival will take place over a range of dates throughout mid-June and early July. The festival will provide guests a chance to experience various farm-themed activities. Bring the kids out for a barnyard adventure featuring duck and pig races, gem mining, an animated chicken show, and the ever-entertaining watermelon cannon! Guest can interact with the animals by petting the bunnies in “Bunnyville,” riding ponies, and milking the cows and goats in the barn. The Copper Creek Grill will keep your crew fed with festival staples like burgers, hotdogs, pizza, and BBQ. And Country Cabin Sweets and Treats will be serving up homemade ice cream and other sugary goodness to cure your sweet tooth.
Of course, the luminous sunflower fields are the draw of the festival. For an additional $6 fee, patrons are welcome to pick and take home a bucket of the farm’s bright blooms. Stroll through the patches and admire the ten different color varieties of sunflowers grown at Copper Creek. The farm will offer hay rides through the fields allowing guests to photograph the flowers and view the entire property. The quaint farm has been the setting of many weddings and is certain to provide the perfect backdrop for some beautiful photos.
Along with the many other child-centered activities, the farm will also host their annual Sunflower Princess Pageant.
