Get ready for a full day of 4th of July fun in #Calhoun!
Dress in your red, white, and blue and kick-off the holiday at Copper Creek Farm’s Sunflower Festival. Open 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. on July 4, the entire family will enjoy picking sunflowers, snapping photos, and indulging on homemade ice cream and fresh-squeezed lemonade! A kid’s zip line, mechanical bull, and observation honey bee barn are new attractions for 2018. Farm favorites, such as, watermelon and candy cannons, pig races, pony rides, and giant jumping pillow are certain to entertain all! Be sure to check-out the festival schedule upon arrival.
Afterwards, drive the short distance to the Cherokee Capital Fairgrounds for the annual Star Spangled Celebration. Gates open at 5 p.m. and the spectacular fireworks show starts around 9:45 p.m. This FREE event includes concerts by Babes Bayou and Tommy Ray Gurley, vendors, games, and lots of delicious food. Kids will love Stilt walker Carrie McQueen, magician/illusionist Mike Frisbee, dances by Expressions Performing Arts, and of course, the inflatables!
